Better luck next time

I just got back from a family reunion. My immediate family doesn’t spend much time together, so when we brave 2,800 miles round trip together…ooh boy. My mom drove everybody, I mean EVERYBODY, insane.

When things don’t go as perfectly as you planned, you have to adapt.

That’s why I’m not a sobbing heap on the floor just because I just found out that we have to re-list our property because the buyers couldn’t sell their business. There’s still the chance that their sale could go through, but they’d have to put another contract on our house.

I’m okay. I can do this.

I have income again, albeit very minute income from my photography. I’m amazed at how rewarding my new venture is turning out. There’s that little adrenaline rush right before I start in, and then it all just falls into place. I haven’t had too many clients not like the majority of the photos. I get the biggest kick when they send me emails saying, “It’s so hard to choose!”

I smile because I know that I’ve done my job, and I’ve done it well.
